Overview

We collect the minimum amount of data needed to operate yvaine's features reliably. This policy applies to data processed by the bot itself, separate from data Discord collects under its own Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

Depending on which features are used, yvaine may store:

• Identifiers — Discord user IDs, server (guild) IDs, and channel IDs, used to associate settings and data with the right server or user;
• Command input — the content of messages sent directly to a command, where needed for that command to function;
• Server configuration — settings a server owner or moderator chooses, such as enabled features or custom prefixes;
• Usage data — basic logs such as command name and timestamp, used for reliability and abuse prevention.

yvaine does not read or store regular server messages that are not directed at it.

How we use information

Collected data is used only to operate and improve yvaine's features, diagnose technical issues, enforce these terms, and prevent abuse of the service. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data storage & retention

Data is stored on secure infrastructure for as long as it is needed to provide the relevant feature — for example, server settings persist until the bot is removed from that server. Logs used for reliability are retained for a limited period and then deleted.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your data. Information may only be shared with infrastructure providers (such as hosting or database services) that support running yvaine, or when required by law.

Your choices & data deletion

Removing yvaine from a server stops any further data collection from that server. To request deletion of stored data associated with your user ID or server, contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

yvaine is not directed at anyone under Discord's own minimum age requirement, and we do not knowingly collect data from users who do not meet it.

Security

We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect stored data, but no system can be guaranteed fully secure. Access to stored data is limited to what is needed to operate and maintain the bot.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.

Adding yvaine to your server

Use the bot's invite link to add yvaine to a server you manage. You'll need the Manage Server permission on Discord to complete the invite.

Basic commands

Once added, yvaine responds to slash commands. Type / in any channel it can see to browse the available commands and their options.

Permissions

yvaine only requests the permissions it needs for the features you enable. You can adjust its role permissions at any time from Discord's Server Settings → Roles.
